USANA Health Sciences, Inc. is a world leading producer, seller, and distributor of nutritional and skin-care products. This top multi-level marketing opportunity operates in 14 different nations across the world and employs 176,000 associates. Myron Wentz, an immunologist and microbiologist, founded the corporation in Utah in 1992. Losing both of his parents to illnesses, which he feels can be eliminated in some cases and decreased by most individuals through good nutrition, motivated him to found and develop this company and devote his life to improving health.

Dr. Wentz believes that USANA’s products can “counteract poor nutrition and free-radical damage” with the proper balance of nutrients and antioxidants. USANA provides various nutritional supplements, which help to achieve this goal. Dr. Wentz says, “I dream of a world free from pain and suffering. I dream of a world free from disease. The USANA family will be the healthiest family on earth (3).” He invites all to share in his vision.
USANA operates as any MLM opportunity in existence. Unfortunately, this is not why USANA has received criticism. This company lost a lot of credibility in 2007 when repeated controversies over credentials arose. Denis Waitley, Ladd McNamara, Tim Wood, and Gilbert Fuller all falsified information, regarding their certifications / licenses. Denis Waitley’s master’s degree was mixed up in a biography; Mr. McNamara was found to be practicing with a revoked medical license; Tim Wood claimed a biology degree, when in fact it was a doctorate in forestry; and the executive vice president and CFO used an expired CPA license. Each of these allegations really hurt USANA and its leadership role as a leading researcher and developer in the nutritional world.
Fortunately, USANA’s numbers still speak really high about the company. Alexa and Nexera both rate this entity as #3 among all of the other MLM opportunities. While Alexa has only its ranking to use as criteria in the rating, Nexera incorporates longevity, the company’s high GPR (Google Page Rank), the AR (Alexa Rank), and the GT (Google Trend). Furthermore, the MLM Business Directory Online rated USANA as 7th, based on its viable nutritional and weight loss products. Annual gross sales in 2008 totaled $429 million. This financial success has helped to promote USANA as a stable, profitable MLM. Also, the company began partnering with Children’s Hunger Fun in 2002. This act of philanthropy has increased USANA’s reputation and demonstrated its values and ideals.
Another great thing this company has going for itself is the emphasis it places on selling products and developing new nutritional products. Where pyramid schemes focus on recruitment, this company defies that stereotype that MLMs are pyramid schemes. Although USANA has a “downline,” it really does focus efforts on good, solid, useful, and needed products. This adds to the company’s legitimacy.

I’ve been reading along for a while now. I just wanted to drop you a comment to say keep up the good work.
